‘Postcards from Europe’

Starting at 3:00pm

From the lush harmonies of Richard Strauss and Wagner to the unique harmonies of Fauré and the distinctive sounds of Ravel. Art Song Perth welcomes four singers to the final recital for 2019. Soprano Pia Harris, mezzo soprano Brigitte Heuser, soprano Alessia Pintabona, and baritone Theo Murphy-Jelley.

Pia Harris has appeared in roles with New York City Opera, Opera Holland Park in London, and West Australian Opera. Brigitte Heuser has made a welcome return to Perth after living and working in New Zealand.

Emerging Artists Alessia Pintabona and Theo Murphy-Jelley will complete the quartet of singers for our musical Springtime Pot-Pourri.

Pianist Chris Milbourn was the runner-up in the recent art Song Perth Scholarship, and will appear as an accompanist, along with Artistic Director of Art Song Perth Marilyn Phillips.
