Ryan Sharp
Ryan Sharp holds a Bachelor of Music and a postgraduate degree in Classical Music from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He has performed in many operatic productions in such roles as the Marquis de la Force in Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites, Reverend Hale in The Crucible by Robert Ward, The Usher in Gilbert and Sullivan's Trial by Jury, Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and many others. Ryan has also sung as bass soloist in Rossini's Petite messe solennelle, and Michael Tippett's A Child of Our Time. In 2009, he was he was awarded the Helen Court Award, presented to the top final year student in classical music.

Ryan was recently a finalist in the Australian Singing Competition at the Sydney Opera House, where he was awarded the Anselmo Colzani Prize, the David Harper Award and the Opera Australia Prize.

Ryan is one of West Australian Opera's Young Artists for 2011, where he has also been awarded the Wesfarmers Arts Scholarship.
