Christina The
Soprano

Soprano Christina The is a Masters and Licentiate (LRAM) graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, and a Bachelor and Masters graduate of the Curtin Business School (Curtin University of Technology).

In the early 2000s she was chosen as one of ’10 young and upcoming classical singers’ by  Australian National Association of Singing Teachers (ANATS) and was a finalist at vocal open championships in various Perth eisteddfods.

She participated in master classes given by Maestro Renato Bruson (Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Siena), Laura Sarti (Academie de Musique Tibor Varga, Sion), Maestro Sergio Bertocchi (Centro Universale del Bel Canto Mirella Freni, Modena), and Sir Robert Tear.

Her most recent role was as Zweite Dame with Singapore Lyric Opera in Die Zauberflöte(The Magic Flute) and her operatic repertoire includes Ophelie (Hamlet), Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore), Zweite Zofe(Der Zwerg), and Hélène (Une éducation manquée).

She has also recorded with Warner Music for a motion picture soundtrack which was part of Cannes Film Festival. She is a regular guest artist with Surabaya Symphony Orchestra and has had solo recitals in Singapore and Indonesia.

Since returning to WA in 2010, Christina has been juggling motherhood and performing in numerous corporate engagements.
